As a psychologist and anxiety and stress expert, I’ve found that the number one block to healthy eating and the hidden culprit behind overeating is

There are tons of reasons that you eat when you experience certain emotions. You may eat to avoid negative feelings or to fill a void when you’re bored. You may even eat when you’re happy and feeling great because that is how you’ve learned to celebrate.
Regardless of the cause, emotional eating prevents you from achieving your
healthy weight loss goals!
When the emotions stop being in control, YOU get in control.

| Learning how to identify the connection between why I ate the
"bad foods" I seemed to always be craving by using
Larina's book has made an immeasurable difference for me in
terms of my eating behaviors. Specifically tying certain
emotions to certain types of foods has helped me turn around
years of detrimental thinking. Having Larina's book as
a tool to realize and change my patterns has made it so much
easier for me to take an inventory and realize I have options in
my environment, and my ability to use different methods, over
eating, even when I'm bored or emotional.

How I Learned About Emotional Eating (and the Keys to Ending It)
Like you, and most people, I am an emotional eater. Over the years I’ve learned to identify my triggers (stress, being home alone at night, boredom), and I’ve studied the topic professionally through work with dozens of clients and reading hundreds of articles and books. What I’ve learned has worked for me, and I’m confident that it can work for you too.
Around 6 years ago I served on clinical faculty at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania. I had the good fortune to work alongside the foremost anxiety researchers and clinicians in the world, and treat clients from all walks of life who experienced anxiety. Over time I started to notice a pattern in my clients—their anxiety would cause them to eat, and eating would cause them anxiety…
A Vicious Cycle!
They worried about their relationships, jobs, money, future, and self-medicated with carbs. It makes sense- many carbs, such as chocolate, create a surge of neuromodulators such as endorphins, which increase pleasure and decrease pain.
Unfortunately this feel-good response is short-lived.
Then you’re left feeling guilty and disappointed about what you ate. Anxiety kicks in, “Will I ever reach my target weight? Do I have any control over what I eat?”
If this all sounds familiar, and I bet it does, the good news is that there are specific things you can do to change your thinking and your behaviors to reduce stress and anxiety. You can learn how to substitute acting on food cravings for other activities.
You’ll see positive benefits to both your mood and your waistline… Now, that’s win-win!
This e-book is packed with research-based tips to help you understand the causes and cures to ending emotional eating for good….
